STORY
Gastronomy is not only our profession but our life’s passion. For decades we have been working on re-developing Hungarian cuisine and restore its glorious reputation – of a thrilling era when Károly Gundel and Auguste Escoffier were colleagues. It all began on Fortuna Street in the Buda Castle, where an elegant restaurant named Pierrot opened in 1982… Several carefully crafted and nurtured restaurants, cafés, terraces, and two boutique hotels belong to our family, and each one of them has their own personality both in cuisine and design.
WHO WE ARE
In our restaurants and bars we welcome about a million guest every year providing high quality experiences. Our family and our approximately 500 colleagues have been working on bringing Hungarian gastronomy back to the the international frontline and making Budapest the best city in the world about four decades. Thanks to our tenacious and submissive work, we collaborate with such great internationally acknoledged partners as the Jamie Oliver Group and the Kempinski Hotelier. All these come with huge responsibility and entail us with many tasks that we take voluntarily, proudly and obsequiously.
WHAT WE BELIEVE IN
Gastronomy and hospitality are not only our profession but it is our passion. We believe in open-mindedness. To be open-minded means for us is to remove our personal biases and prejudices from any situation and completely immerse ourselves in another experience. It takes time, energy, patience and devotion.

We’ve always been caring on local. From the artwork to the wallpaper and furnishings in our bedrooms we strive to be an authentic reflection of our neighbourhoods, whilst supporting the communities that live and breathe around us.
